A brand new year is as a good a time as any to reassess that bucket list.
Here is our top list of things you have to try in the capital in 2015.
Visit a cat cafe
Edinburgh's first cat cafe Maison de Moggy is set to swing open its purr-fect doors and seat you for a cuppa early next year.
Fluffy residents Sebastian, Marcel, Phillipe, Pierre, Guillaume and Jacques are ready and waiting to steal your heart while you sip on a cappuccino.

Join a secret cake club
The Clandestine Cake Club was founded in December 2010 in Leeds and there are now 199 clubs set up around the world under the group’s mission statement “Bake, Eat and Talk about Cake.”
Edinburgh's first one started just this month and our cake-loving enthusiasts adore it.
It is a cake-only club which means no cupcakes, no muffins, no brownies and no pies. It is all about the cake. And each location of where they meet up is a secret until you book a place.
Shh...for ultimate cake worshipers only.
Jump over things in style
The rising trend of Parkour has landed in the capital and if you'd like to join this growing group of adventurous city folk, they'd love to have you.
Described as the ultimate rebel’s game, with no rules, equipment or winners, parkour started in France - the name is derived from the French word for “course” - and has spread around the world.
People of all abilities are welcome, and there's even a stand-alone group 'Ladies who Leap' who hold free starter sessions in Bristo Square.
As the organiser told us: "Our ethos is to be strong, to be useful in the world. You're body already knows how to do it - it's just getting your mind in the same spot."

Become an expert escape artist
This is just plain fun. Could you crack Edinburgh’s ‘Crystal Maze’ in 60 minutes? Well the city has a new code-breaking game in which a team of up to five races against the clock to solve a series of puzzles and escape a locked room.
One turn of a key and the door is locked. A group of game-loving enthusiasts then have 60 minutes to solve many puzzles, riddles and brain teasers using their powers of observation and problem solving to escape the room.
